Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for our fast growing prestigious European business based in Sheffield.

 

This role is a mixture of office and home based work

 

Location: Sheffield/Home Based

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum D.O.E

 

Skills/Requirements for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is vital
  • Extensive migration of Exchange onto O365
  • Strong Virtualization ideally within VMware, however Hyper-V also acceptable
  • SAN storage experience, no particular product, however EMC, Nimble or NetApp would be ideal
  • Experience of working and maintaining Backup technologies such as Veeam or NetBackup
  • Extensive Active Directory experience, including high level troubleshooting, maintenance and migrations
  • Windows Server maintenance and upgrade experience

 

Start date is ASAP for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer

 

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Delivering customer projects of different sizes through the full lifecycle from requirement gathering through to post implementation
  • Solving problems on a daily basis to ensure customer satisfaction stays high
  • Mentoring junior members of the team in some instances
  • Keeping up to date with current industry and technology trends
  • Providing guidance on technologies like VMware, SAN Storage, Backup technologies and Windows Server to customers in order to make sure their technology is cutting edge and fit for their own purposes
  • Dealing with customer Stakeholders on a weekly basis to provide them with updates on the projects
  • Migration customers from their on prem Exchange to O365 seamlessly
  • Installing new and up to date SAN Storage to customer sites across the UK and Europe
